I recently installed the FMS performance cam and had problems with trying to get the car to idle. I thought the cam may be a little "lumpier" than I thought but discovered what the real problem was when I installed the header (see my thread in the NA swap forum).
When I reinstalled the intake pipes I wanted to make sure that everything was good and tight. What I did though is over-tighten the clamp that connects the two pieces of pipe between the VAF and the throttle body which resulted in the pipe actually buckling and opening up a gap that let fresh air in where it wasn't supposed to be.
After some boiling water, a conveniently sized cup and a hose clamp I was able to get the hard plastic back to its proper shape.
Once I got this reinstalled, without over-tightening this time, the rough idle has disappeared.
Hope this helps someone out somewhere along the line.
Cheers
