  • What is this and where does it need connected?

Sits on top of the transaxle right next to the dipstick. Not sure what it is or why it's plugged, can anyone shed some light on this? Or also provide where it may need routed to?

    Thanks (I'm new)

I haven't delved into it too much with my recently acquired AUTO but mine has the same thing. So I guess it's meant to be that way. Sometime when I start messing with the mechanics of it I'll check it out, but hopefully you get a much quicker response before my eventful work starts on that car days/weeks/months ahead.

I assume you mean the hose? That's the vent tube, it doesn't get connected to anything. The metal thing in the end is baffle, to keep out big chunks.

Oh, and the tin can thing is the cover over the governer. It helps control when the trans shifts. Its purely hydro-mechanical. Nothing gets connected to it.
