  • 1200 kms and 8L of oil?

ok I just finsihed making a trip from vancouver BC to kelowna... then to vernon... then to kamloops and back to vancouver. About 1200 kms I think.

The engine didn't get much down time really... in fact it was pretty much driven the whole time doing anywhere from 80 - 135km/h
    remember this is an auto

Now I dont have an oil leak as the engine was just fitted with all new seals but twice I started to hear the lifters in the engine being kinda loud and I pulled over and checked the oil and wtf there wasn't any.

Is it possible for an engine to turn the oil to vapor and burn it away or something? I mean I had to put 8L in over the entire trip. The last time was at the end when I had left kamloops and was out of oil by hope. ONly 3 hrs doing 130 most of the way... any suggestions?

With that amount of consumption you should be seeing blue smoke.

    But do the standard stuff.

    1.) Change PCV valve
    2.) Compression test
    3.) www.auto-rx.com
4.) Start saving your pennies for a B6 swap

Trust me folks, you need www.auto-rx.com
Go ahead and ask me why
