  • Distributor swapping question: carb /FI

I blew the head gasket on my '90 Festiva [Fuel Injected]. I am going to replace the motor with '88 Festiva [carbed] , that was rebuilt less than 2,000 miles before I wrecked the car.

I want to use the '88 head [rebuilt]. Do I need to swap distributors? What about the camshaft?

    Thanks for your time.

Cams are the same just put the efi disty in and intake and block off plate for fuel pump and go.
Just did the this, but went form efi to carbed.

also the FI model uses a fuel pump in the gas tank and the caruburated does not i believe so im not sure what other modifications you would have to do but i guess you would just not use the pump with your setup

Thanks a lot! The engine is being converted from carb to EFI and put in the '90 Festiva. I miss my carbed '88 Festiva. It started faster, and ran smoother, once I put leaner jet in the secondary.

          I like carbs too.

I put one set on my car, sold two other sets to other members.
