  • Brake lights & running lights

The brake lights come on with the running lights and get just slightly brighter when you hit the brakes...with the lights off, if you step on the brake the running lights come on with the brake lights

    Haven't touched a thing....just happened

    Any thoughts?

Sounds like a shorted wire. Sounds like there is a break in the insulation of the wires somewhere in the harness and the two wires are in contact. Odd though that the park markers are not lighting both filaments of the break bulb though. Pull a bulb and check to see if both filaments are on with the park markers on and recheck when u hit the break.

Both filaments are on...they get just a touch brighter when I hit the pedal
now to add to the mix, one head light is acting up. both filaments are on kinda dim and when I turn on the brights they get dimmer

Checked the obvious stuff like bulbs, grounds, and the harness in the back. getting the feeling its all gonna have to be uncovered and checked.

Pull the pass bulb out and see if it stops doing it to the driver side i had this same problem and did check every thing but that. Was at the point of going to a toggle switch. Then i did that and now they work great.
