  • Wiper rods help for Festy

    Hello guys,

I'm new here! Glad I found this community, it's an incredible resource

I'm looking for new wiper rods, mine are rusty as hell with no caps on the bolts :S

Any idea where I could find new wiper rods?

    Thanks,
    J-S

    Hey there..... WELCOME!

    Where are you from?

I know there are several places around here you can get the blades.

He asked for wiper "rods." Is that BC-speak for blades, or does he mean the linkage rods connected to the motor?

        "no caps on the bolts"
He means the part that the blade connects to, the wiper arm.

I was indeed referring to the wiper arms. I'm from Quebec btw, but I wasn't expecting anything in the region. I've tried them all :S

          Thanks

Ive got caps and arms but dont like shipping to Canada . Probably would if the price was right though. Do you have any local junkyards ? Thats probably a good resource.

Sand blast yours and paint them....buy the caps from a salvage yard.

Thanks for the sand blast option, I'll keep it in mind. I was looking for new, but that's seems like an utopic word when talking for a festy.

Go to a junkyard, look in the Nissan section, Walk until you see a set that looks like the Festiva wiper, (course you will have Festy wiper in hand) I think it might be mid 90's Sentra? They fit right on the Festiva with no mods, are stainless steel, and a little stronger. They work better. Painted mine Trim Black.
