pipe to the head

I know its a repost but i need help. I have a set of 14" rims for my car that doesnt want to take off. Anyway i cant get my lug nuts off. I was trying the other day and my pipe slipped off the end of my tool and i hit myself right above the right eye. I was really pulling hard on that pipe. The total distance away from the lug nut was mabye three - four feet. Do i need a longer pipe to bust the lug nuts lose? Please help

Spray them with PB Blaster. Spray them generously for a couple of days then try. But be careful when using a breaker bar so you don't break them.

Yep - any sort of rust release product sprayed liberally over the course of a few days. Be very conscious about your brakes though... you don't want that stuff on your rotors/calipers/pads unintentionally.

also, strange as it sounds, try tightening them first, them try to break then loose!

Better, if you can use an impact wrench, much reduced risk of snapping off a bolt!

i wouldn't recommend that, u may twist the heads off but if u want ti try heat, heat the backing plate though the center cap

3/4" breaker bar

No wheel nut is ever going to get the better of me. That's when I pull out my 3/4" breaker bar that I got on the Bay. Who cares if I snap them off. At least the wheel will come off.

Heat works....you don't heat them bright red! I heat nuts and then spray with penetrating oil...it helps pull it into the threads. Don't breathe the fumes or have the part hot enough to start a fire!!

i think taking it some where to get a free brake inspection is the best bet then they will come off easy when u get it back they have impacts to take them off with

Watch it if you have aftermarket wheels. If the lugs on mine are tightened with a big wrench, or as some places use an impact, I will not be able to get the lugs off! I use only the stock Festiva tire tool or a 3/8 ratchet. Otherwise the lugs lock on, and will not come off. They lock really tight on my aftermarket rims, no problem with stock wheels.
I have one Festiva tire tool, that I put a cheater bar on, that now looks like a pretzel! :p

Thought I'd add my advice, even though it seems you've already got lots to work with.

In your condition I would take the time to do "everything" I could for myself, before taking it to someone with more experience and better tools.

Accordingly, I'd use lots of PB Blaster several times a day over several days, along with some solid hammer blows directly to the top of the bolt heads. Then, I'd take a 1/2" 14mm 6 point short impact socket on an 18 to 24 inch breaker bar and put as much of my weight on the end of it as I could. Even going so far as to stand on it and jump up and down. I would bet you'll get most, if not all, of them loose.

Then, take the car to a busy tire shop and pay them to break loose only the ones you couldn't. (Forget the phony brake inspection scam. I wouldn't want these guys even standing close to my car, much less touching it. Besides, really, what are the chances of anything good resulting from a scam on top of a another scam?)

Ask the tire shop to re-torque the ones they break loose by hand and then go home and do the job right.

Remove each lug, clean the threads of lug and hole using Simple Green and wire brushes, apply anti-seize compound, and re-torque all to exactly the same value (say 70 ft-lbs), using a clicking torque wrench.

Then, take the rest of the day off to enjoy the feeling. I'm guessing you can tell, I know the feeling.

I agree with John other then I would just take it to a tire shop and just ask to have the lugs broke loose. No sense in my eyes to go through all that trouble and possibly twisting the head off one. The impact will do the job right. Then as John said....anti-seize them!
