Car runs out of gas at half tank?

Are you talking about the line off the top of the sending unit? If you are, it's not new but has no leaks. I've checked the whole system for leaks.

I am talking about the small hose right off the top of the fuel pump attaching it to the sending unit.

On the stock sending unit, the pump actually mates directly to the sending unit with an O-ring. On the Aspire unit however, the pump is attached with a hose like you're talking about.

There is a metal wall that goes around the pump. this wall is as high as half the tank. There is a tube that allows fuel to flow inside the wall where the pump sits. this tube can become clogged. drain your tank and take a air hose, be very carefull and ease the air into one side of the tube. You will blow out crap!! This is why it only goes half tank. Once the fuel drops below the height of that wall, unless the tube is clear no more fuel can get to the pump. I bet is you shake the car and cause fuel to spill over that wall it will start.
