  • poor lil' blue...

My car had to be pushed to safety by local law enforcement friday afternoon.
Something(I'm thinking thermostat) made me overheat so quickly that my car died. waited a sec, cranked back up and babied it home.
seems water is gushing from edges of rad. cap once temp reaches 177-181 .
either that or maybe the radiator is screwed?

Sorry to hear that but, could you elaborate on the highway patrol part? They pushed my car once and cracked the paint.

oh no- they were real careful; oddly enough he seemed interested in it. I don't think he'd seen many of 'em.

I'm thinking you need a new rad cap.

If nothing else it can't hurt to replace the cap every so often

I had heat problems 2-3 months ago. Not one problem, but 2.

The cap's seal was all dried up so couldnt retain that prestone pressure.
The temp sensor was defective so fan wouldn't turn on when I got off the highway.

Like redlobster said, it always a good thing to change this cap every few years or so.

                Good luck!

^the cap is the problem... Just looked at it and the rubber seal is gone and the cap spring is wore out.
