Distributor cap.

Well for some reason my b3 engine decided to run on three cylinders, so i took out one spark plug lead at a time to see what which plug was not firing. And i found out the far right cylinder was not firing i dont know if thats four or one but so i took off the distributor cap and saw the pins were pretty corroded so i think its time for a new one. And i hope to be doing a BP swap end of this year and i was wondering if the b3 distributor cap would fit on the BP if so id buy a brand new one if not id just repair the old one.

You don't know which cylinder is which and you want to do an engine swap?

Hope im not wrong but starting from the cam the cylinders go from left to right 1,2,3,4 and the firing order should be 1,3,4,2

@ r34king Just because i dont know the order of firing doesnt mean i dont know anything about engines or how to fabricate if youre not answering my question which was does the cap fit from a b3 to a bp keep your opinions to yourself. Thanks

The FI B3 and FI BP share the same part number for the caps, so it should, but a carbed B3 uses a different part number than a FI B3, so not sure.

The carb'd ones are different than the FI ones, at least the one on my 88LX was different from the FI ones I've owned. The B3 one should fit the BP though.

Ok thanks, yeah in australia they never sold a FI b3 in the first generation festiva's. Thanks thats what i needed to know.
