sounds like the coil in the sending unit may be broken? What year is your stiva and is it EFI or carbed? its easy to check, there is an access panel under the back seat that will allow you to pull the sending unit out of the top of the tank. if you have a EFI the sending unit is part of the fuel pump, if yours is carbed the sending unit is standalone. you will see a metal box attached to the float arm on the the sending unit, and the cover comes off fairly easy, you will be able to tell if the coil is broken, and if it is a member might have one available for sale. I have one for a carbed festy i can sell. welcome to the site

Would help if you put your location in your signature.

Carbed or FI, and a location would help. But yep, they nailed it. I know it's been tried, but has anyone successfully soldered that broken coil and had it work accurately after?

My fuel gauge stopped working as well. Where can you buy a new sending unit for a Fiesta? I have a 91 EFI. Thanks

Low probability that anyone here will have a Fiesta sending unit!

If however, your looking for a Festiva sending unit you can post a [WTB] in the For Sale forum (after reading the rules in that sections "sticky") and some one may have a functioning used one they will sell.
