CR Question

Hi Guys,

Can someone tell me what my '91 manual Festy's CR is? I'm thinking of having the head refreshed, and maybe raising the CR while I'm there.

Either 9:1 or 9.4:1, not positive. I know the auto capri is 9:1 and manual is 9.4:1, for the NA B6D.

Make sure you are NOT going to smash some valves due to less clearance. You will have to run a higher grade of gas.

Damn. 9.4:1 was on the high side of my guess. I'm not sure if 9.9:1 is such a good idea. Even if the head is bullet-proof, the bottom end still has 175,000 miles. Can you say 'blow-by'? Oh well, valve job and a shave.
