Route a hose to an oil catch can plus a filter? LOL. I'm just curious if it would actually run on 3 cylinders with one open to atm pressure all the time. The oil would go both out the exhaust valves and the plug hole. However, someone else said he doesn't think it's the oil control rings because of the oil volume being burnt. I bet the cat is completely clogged too and making things worse.

      Thoughts? Don't...

You just might be onto something...

If you can pull the oxygen sensor, and the car starts, that would be a good lead on a plugged Cat.

Did you do the test PU241 suggested? Did the rotor turn? Do you have spark at the end of the plug wires that connect to the plugs? On ALL of them?

I had one that ran on three cylinders for over 3000 miles. Was still running when I finally pulled it out to put in the B6 I had rebuilt for it. It went through a quart of oil every 200 miles or so, leaking a little bit but mostly burning. After pulling the head I found a burnt exhaust valve with a pretty bad chip in it (which helped out on the non-firing cylinder since it relieved the pressure on the compression stroke ). If at all possible do a compression test, it can tell you a lot about whats going on inside there.

Hey guys sorry I did not get back. Like and life more abundantly.

A Buddy came by sat down and it started. I had been trying either.

I messed with it all day. He thinks the brain need to rest?

I will try the Transmission fluid thing.

He is trying to talk me into a Mazda motor. What do you all think?

Not the first dozen times or so.

You already have a Mazda engine.

Which one is your buddy thinking of?

If you have the time and patience, I would go with the new engine. If not and you need parts in a bad way I can check what I have or what the junkyard here has. I feel your pain, I cant even drive mine for right now due to carb issues. So instead my hard earned money gets filtered to the gas companies in order to keep gas in my truck.
