  • need help turboing my b3

in 3 weeks i will be getting my check almost 2,000 dollars. well i was wondering should i get a whole swap or just buy turbo and take my manifold to get it flenge to make it fit the turbo and put a turbo on my b3? i know the swap is cheaper but it is really hard to find a whole swap around here in chicago or around chicago like wisconsin or indiana,. unless anyone here has one for sale and cheap . i am willing to spend 500 to 700 for a whole swap or a donor car and ill take it apart thanks

I would go for a swap and if you don't mind driving long distances you can find some probably somewhere around a 400 mile radius of chicago... i know kansas city seems to have alot of xr2's for some reason and thats where i'm heading after tax time

I'd recommend finding a swap donor - 323, Protege, Escort GT, Capri, whatever. As fun as a Turbo B3 is... you'll get more power, reliability, parts options, and sleeper status from a swap instead.
