econo and Tom have it right about the wire and choke. It will be cheapest to replace the carb.
My Weber = $100 ebay. My Festy runs 3x better now. The idle is sooo smooth now, cant tell its running. AND it runs like a beast now. No longer do I fear hills!
Seriously, I am glad the feedback carb is gone.

The trick for Festy conversions to the Weber is of course getting hold of an adaptor, or modifying the manifold to make it take the Weber directly. Dan, would you be willing/able to make more adaptors if people needed them?

Now the webber carb does get rid of all teh vaccum lines right? I am pretty sure I read that somewhere when I did a search earlier.

Yes, you will be vacuum line free!
(except the 2 required for the vacuum advance)
The adaptor is the only holdup. I can help with materials and dimensions.
Dont know if I can take on making some right now, but I might if I get motivated by someone really needing one.
I am a Tool and Die maker, working as an Quality Inspector now and I dont have access to the machines as I used to, or I would mass produce a few adaptors.
Get a hold of me if you want, and I can at least guide you through it.
It isn't hard to make an adaptor.

I tried looking for the best the price and it seems it wouldent make much difference if I bought it off ebay or straight from redline/weber. So now I guess all I got to do is talk to the wife. Wish me luck, might take me awhile with her.

Redline doesn't have an application specifically for the Festiva. Ebay should have a used one, for a lot less than a new one from Redline. Then you can jet it with sone help from Dan, and rebuild it if needed. Rebuild kits are cheap and it's not too hard.

Try finding a used one on evilbay. The 32/36 is so easy to work on its almost unbelievable. Really. Mine was a used one from evilbay. $100

Brick, feel free to PM me with ANY questions you have, I will help as much as I can.

Horton, you can always call me to help out. My only days off are Sundays but I'm sure I can come out for a few hours if need be or perhaps you can come to Jacksonville, only 45 minutes or so. Let me know in advance so I can run it by the boss (wife).
