broke plug

I found this in the number 2 cylinder today when checking my plugs. What would cause this? All the other plugs just have oil deposits on them which I believe tells me the rings are bad and time to change motors!!! These plugs are only 8 months old. I took them outta my totaled festiva.





Its 89 FI auto with 226 on the clock
