Need to do a tyranny found and filter change on my 5 speed festiva. Is it hard to do? Any suggestions?

No filter on the 5 speeds, it is just drain through a plug on the bottom and refill to the level of the fill plug on the side. I find it easiest to take the speedo gear out and fill through that hole, around 1 3/4 quarts I think but its been a while... what made you decide it needs to be changed? The only time I've ever drained any of mine was when replacing axles and or removing the trans.No festiva for me ATM... -
It is hard to shift, and someone on here suggested to change the fluid, so I figured what's the loss.:cry_smile: RIP. 91 Ford festiva BP swap
