Yes but why?? I've run into couple other people with relatively low mile Festivas that have had good maintenance that started doing this also. I just cant believe trickle of oil running out the air cleaner snorkle is from normal blowby especially when compression is still very good and mileage not that high. I guess the old B3 isnt going to ever get used again way it is anyway so some rainy day might be the project to disassemble it and see if there is a broken ring, or something. Shame internal parts for these engines have to be so expensive. But that is typical of Japanese engines.

Don't know why. Both cars are 200K+ miles cars. Just know Batstiva did it with her original engine 230K miles. Didn't do it with the engine I got from neanderpaul (think that one was 120K miles) New one doesn't do it either, 220K miles. Air cleaner assembly bone dry on the new one. Course, I don't have the air intake pipe on it, so it could be blowing the oil anywhere. Tho, not much oil in the engine bay.Originally posted by Banana Bonanza View PostYes but why??
