    Strange Behaving Festiva

    So recently my Festiva has been doing some wierd things. Please keep in mind that this car has a bp with a g5mr tranny.
    The problem: recently when turning on the car in the morning in the cold cold weather the check engine light comes on for the first 10 minutes only when I clutch in. It also sputters (engine runs rough). After those 10 minutes it runs normally.

    Any ideas of what is going on with this car?

    cold idle valve issues...?? thats what first comes to mind...but i am not as familiar with the BP as others

      That tube that's on the back of the intake that I keep hearing about?

        i'm betting on a harness issue that's temp related, an odd grounding short that's only present when the harness is cold. once current is passed through it, the wires warm up and resolve the short. inspect the firewall grommet, and your nutral safety wiring.
        Trees aren't kind to me...

          K I will take a look at the grounds as well as tubes around the intake. Any other ideas?
