Pulling it out is quite simple. You have 4 bolts that attach it to your firewall. there is a bolt under a rubber protector that attaches the uni joint for the steering, then you have you tierod ends to remove (you should undo the one bolt on the tie rod, don't take it off by undoing the ajustment fully). If its a power steering rack then I am pretty sure that you have 2-4 hydrollic lines to detach aswell. After that from memory yit should just pull out.

      Welcome doi doi!

There should be some online manuals posted somewhere on this site. Are you planning on taking off the whole rack, or just replacing the boots?

I had my engine out and replaced my inner tie rods, outer tie rod ends, and greased up my rack before putting new boots on. Here is a link to my thread where I replaced my inner tie rod ends, greased up the rack ends, and put on new boots. Look through it and you'll see three or four pictures of the rack before and after I freshened it up:

doi doi, if you're talking about the inner tie rods, they should stay where you put them. If they move down when you lift them and let go, you should replace them.

Doi Doi its pretty simple to do but if the gears and the inner tie rod has to much play i would recommend just getting a new one or a good used one. There was a lot of Kia pride parts when i went to Manilla In january. Maybe when you go there drop by the Auto mart and find one. Just Tawad when you go there. LOL ingats!!!
