I dont know if its the heater core or not because its not leaking anything anywhere, if i set it on defrost warm air comes out but through the vents its cold air. Anyone have the same problem?

festivas and many other cars only let heat through the defrost and floor vent selections. it's not a problem, it's the way it was designed.-Zack

Heat doesn't come out of the center vent on any setting.
This is just how it is set up.
You can get defrost and heat to your feet though, which if the heater core is not clogged will be more than sufficient.'93 Blue 5spd 230K(down for clutch and overall maintanence)
