Buzzing A/C control amplifier

My control amplifier box has a mind of its own.

It buzzes and randomly turns the A/C compressor and radiator fan on and off, even though the A/C button's not pushed in and the blower's off.

Any thoughts on this? Do I have a stuck relay somewhere?

You're correct. I have a fan on the condenser though, which is being turned on with the compressor. I meant to type "condenser" but "radiator" came out instead.

I'll check that tomorrow.

is this the a/c you added on your main festy?

is this a/c system off of a later model festy?

It's the one on my main Festiva - the system I cobbled together from parts of a dozen different Festivas. It's been 6 months and it still blows cold!

You hit the nail on the head - it was relay #2!!! It would clack on/off if I tapped it with my finger, and when I popped it open the spring was worn.

I replaced the relay and everything's working well so far.
