  • Tricky questions about the brake lines and componants (overhaul job)

First off , are ALL the lines connections in double flares? or theres some bubbles flare in there too like the Taurus....

Q number 2 , what is the actual role of the unit mounted on the firewall?? Reduce flow for the rear? Or its just a splitter??

I believe that all break lines use double flares.
But I would prefer that someone who has replace all their lines confirm that.
SafetyGuy or Genevadirt want to confirm this?

The fire wall mounted "proportioning" valve may not be anything more than a splitter as suggested by another member.
I'll see if I can find his post and link it here.
This is still less than convincing, but because no other info was forth coming as to hydraulic pressure or volume coming from the unit it should be considered.

    Here we go:

Considering the size of the car and how they are desinged to be a throw away car I would be suprised if there was a perportioning valve..... the drums are so tiny u can't even hardle e-brake a corner lol

Thats great infos PU , thanks.

Im looking into it due to the fact that I got rear SHO disks and calipers in the rear (shogun) and I wanted to know if that valve played a big role.

I want the damn thing to stop properly.
