Remove center nut. Bolt on your rear wheel...... Wack off the wheel and the drum will come with it

I think a close up pic of your rear spindle would help us a lot!

Ok, you can thank a previous work effort for ALL of this bull...Onega.

        1) The spindle nut was stripped(yes I drove it home an hour that way, SCARY STUFF!!))))
        2) You know how each bearing has like a cap ring thing? Well there were two cap rings PER BEARING. I had to pound the old ones out.
        3) They kinda messed up the outer part of the spindle where the outer bearing goes on. More pounding....

ANYWAYSSSSSSSS...... I got the job DONE and am now a proud Festy owner! I just need a new spindle nut, I'll probably go to lowes for a quick replacement.

Thanks for all the help guys and gals!

Glad you are up and moving. By cap rings, are you referring to the races? I suspect it was stripped because someone tried to use the wrong side nut at some point. Do yourself a favor, skip Lowes and actually pick up a new set of nuts that were made for the job you are asking them to do. Just my two cents.

If your spindle is in the shape you are describing you will have one heck of a mess very very soon.
The area the bearing slides on to should be smooth with NO ridges or scraped/smeared looking areas, you described a badly spun bearing that most of the time ruins spindles.
You should check the area in the drum/hub that the outer races presses into for wear as well, if they dropped right in or you can turn them with your fingers when installed the hub is bad as well.
If you are unsure of what to look for you should find someone that knows and have them come take a look.
This could be a huge safety issue and anyone close by if/when the wheel/hub comes off.

Yeah I'm going to have to I realized. Will an auto parts store carry them? Rockauto?

It was only the very leading edge that was even barely lipped up, the rest of the spindle was perfect. Everything was a good clean solid slide in/on.

They are getting hard to find around here. I think I cleaned out all the parts stores of them. But you can get them at advanced, autozone, napa, etc. But I've found going in and asking yields better results because they sometimes just say they don't have them because they don't think they do anymore ha.

Anyway go check the stores and when you find them buy several sets they are cheap (should be like 3 bucks a nut I think) Get like two or three sets.

                    And don't forget this

This means you should be getting two different spindle nuts they are specific to right and left.

Often parts stores will have stuff in stock not listed on the computer any more. If they just check the computer they think they don't have it.
