^^ yeah... and the tranny im looking at is from a 92 escort gt.... so why would it be hydro. i dont want hydro its just more crap to break, i like the simplicity of a cable operation.

Just because it's a G5M-R doesn't mean it has a cable clutch. The 2 in G25M-R just means it was the revised version. The '92 1.8 Escort had a hydro transmission.

damn..... gunna do some fab on it then.. oh well. is 250$ a good price for that tranny? and will i be able to just throw the xr2 halfshaft on that tranny??

IIRC the only cable g-series were the Capri XR2 and 323 GT

I believe every other G-series is hydraulic
