  • Disconnect the Radio Antennae

    Hi,

I am trying to disconnect my 1996 festiva radio antenna in order to get a better quality with my MP3/FM transmitter.

I tried to unscrew the antenna but it doesn't seem to come off ... I also tried to remove the rubber antennae base but there's a wire that's connected to the antenna and can't see anyway to unplug it ...

Anybody have an idea on how to remove the antennae... or even how to disconnect it from the radio side if I can't remove it ?

    Thanks

    Roky

Pull the radio out and you will see a thick wire going into it. That is the antenna wire. If you are going through that much trouble I would just get an aftermarket radio with an mp3 player input on the front.
The normal is not always normal... MOST is not ALL... And any job can be hard if you don't have the right tools!!!

^^ what he said! I have tryed the fm transmitter and it always sounds like dog poo. Go spend 150$ on a kenwood deck. They have a front usb port and u can control your ipod from the deck or plug any other device through the aux plug in front.
