it's an 1989 carbed 4 speed. this problem has gotten progessively worse. i used to be able to drive it for a day before it would start messing up. otherwise runs great when it does so i figure it'd have to be electrical.

i've changed the computer, distributor w/ignition module, cap, wires, plugs. i dont know what else to do.
it'll do the 1/8 in 13.7, spin tires, and make all my drunk buddies giggle.

Before buying a new ignition switch try spraying WD-40 into the one you have and work it in with the key. That can clean out contacts. Fixed mine.

Tried spaying all up in the switch. Don't seem like it helped but I heard a relay behind the instrument cluster clicking everytime it cut off. Anybody know about that?

could be the relay but also the switch and when the relay loses power because of a bad connection it then makes the sound you are hearing.
