  • Rethreading for lug bolt

How would one go about doing this? The Aspire has one stripped I don't think cross threaded. I have a bunch of lug bolts left over from parts car. I was thinking about just trying putting the impact gun on one to see if I can convince it. Ideas?

take a die grinder or hacksaw and cut a few grooves that go perpindicular to the threads and screw it in by wrench. that should clean the threads up pretty well

Thanks I'll probably get a tap and die from Harbor Freight in a couple weeks. Don't really need anything expensive as I probably won't use it once every 10 years. I tried forcing a lug bolt in to no avail.
