oil sludge

iv got a warped head (so i suspect...2 blown head gaskets in 1000 miles...dont ask y i didnt check it the first time) and am going to do a head gasket job this weekend. when looking over the motor i noticed i have a lot of oil sludge passing by my PCV valve and into my intake manifold. while i have the thing taken apart...what is good for removing oil sludge in places where i cannot reach (ie...the intake manifold)? would a few cans of carb cleaner work, just spraying the crap out of it? i guess the best thing would have been doing the auto-rx treatment a couple thousand miles ago like i wanted to. im going to put it in when i put it all back togather tho, but in the mean time...what works?

Seafoam deep creep.

Chances are the stuff in the manifold and TB aren't hurting much. That's just what went through the PCV system and then condensed inside there. But go ahead and clean it while you have it off.

auto-rx would not have cleaned that area. It only cleans places that are supposed to have oil running through them.

where can you get it....autozone?

EDIT: btw i know auto-rx wouldnt have cleaned that area out but at that time there was no sludge in there

Most places that sell seafoam sell seafoam deep creep too (same thing, just in an aerosol version).

I think I've seen it in autozone here.

Some people way over-hype it though.

I find B-12 chem tool to be quite effective.
