  • Roof fabric tear

Hey gang, new to forum and was an original festiva owner straight off the showroom floor in 89 and now an owner again. Is there a simple way to fix about a 2-3" tear in roof fabric? Doesn't have to be perfect, but want to avoid more tearing.
    Thanks!

Can't help with that tear, but if you put your location in your signature, there might be someone close to you that could help. Maybe try an Awning repair shop or one that repairs tents. Just an Idea.

I've seen vinyl repair kits at auto parts stores.

Get a curved needel and some fishing line and sew it back togother, colse tight stitches. I hate my 88 headliner! I wish I had the new style but I don't want auto belts.

I have a new headliner with manual seat belts.
You just have to cut the tracks off just above the manual belt b-pillar bolts. It doesn't look bad at all.

Thanks gang! I'd try the rivets, but don't want to lessen the MPG's lol

I did think about the sewing idea, but thought that just may rip more? Did you actually try it? Thanks again

I've sewn my driver seat togother. Its been good for 2yrs. U could sew it and then put a small amount of epoxy or something to hold it togother if you are concerned about it not holding.
