  • REVS sticking

Hey guys, can someone help me out please?I've got a 1990 XL festiva, carburated, and for some reason on idle, revs are sitting just below 2k RPM, even when its warm. cheers, much help would be appreciated.

Probly your butterfly valve in the intake of the carb. My buddies does the same thing, he just pops the top off the air filter and pokes down with a screw driver gently and then its at regular idle again

88 Festy L (The White Thunder)
91 L came and gone, owned only 2 days

If that cures it try blasting it with carburettor cleaner.

your idle kickdown may not be working properly, it's a spring that works in conjunction with your choke. the choke may not be working, or stuck OR you may have to replace the spring...
