  • t25 turbo on b3 open for help!

alright i just won a bid on a garret t25 turbo off ebay for 33 dollars=0. alright i just got the turbo today and has no shaft play at all!!!! the only concern i have is that it looks like it has a little bit of oil from before left in the spinning blade. anyone know how i can clean that off? its pretty black maybe becuase standing there for a long time. but the good thing is the turbo has no shaft play. question is how can i clean the oil off or should i leave it and run it like that? thanks.

use some brake clean to take it off, face the impeller inlet tword the ground and spray in the outlet, this will keep the brake clean from washing down the bearings and seals.

He's probably looking at the turbine or "spinning blade" which always has carbon on it, just like the inside of an exhaust pipe does.
You don't need to bother with cleaning that, you'd be better off spending time learning the funtional parts of the device you just
invested in, that's something you're actually going to need.

+1....Here's about all the maximum boost you'll see > "Look guys, I got a real turbo for my car!"
Then it will go back up on ebay in about a year.

That was one of the great features at the Homemadeturbo.com site.
You weren't allowed to talk about your "dream build".
You had to either post pics of your completely collected parts for your future build, OR
you had to post pics of the assembled build. Even then, you HAD to post porn WITH this first posting!, or the Heinas would attack and they were brutal. Those were some of the most rugged, rude, ill mannered guys evah, Geez I miss reading those beat downs ha ha

I like the mod challenges on SomethingAwful myself. For example, there's one up right now that started with a crap thread like this, the challenge was issued, then someone trumped the challenge by recreating the final scene of the breakfast club and turned it back on the OP that he had to donate $10 to charity to keep his account. Then people started stacking donations against him (I'll donate $x if he gets banned, etc), and these guys raised $50,000 for Japan among other things this way.
It's the top stickied thread in GBS if you care to look.
