  • Trans to block alignment dowels

    Pulled my trans to install new flywheel and clutch assb...........there was only one dowel in place between trans and the block.......is this normal?.......if not where can i get a new dowel?

    I assume you're referring to the bolt sleeves? The alignment sleeves that the bolts actually pass through? If so then there should be one on each side IIRC. Not on the two top bolts but in the lower ones, on the "ears" that stick out of the block. But I could be wrong about that. I'll check when I get home tonight, I have a junk 5-speed at the house and if thats the part your looking for then PM me your address and I'll drop one in the mail in the morning.

      ^ yeah, two dowls on the lower bolt holes.
      Trees aren't kind to me...

        even if you are missing them all, dont worry about it, it just makes it easier to align the 2 surfaces together.
        B6 with lightweight Flywheel, FMS street cam
