    Time for another DUMB question! How do you adjust the idle on a EFI eng.? Searched for answer , none avalible. Manuel does not show or tell how.:sign6:

    What manual do you have? Mine says not to touch it,unless you really have to. Trust me, it really says something like that. (Ford shop manual).

      There is a little screw (should have a rubber grommet) on the front top of the throttle body, off center drivers side.... clockwise goes in (lower idle) CCW higher idle

        On fuel injected, idle speed screw is located on top of the throttle body. Looking at engine, where the hose from your air filter connects to throttle body, just to left where it connects is a small screw. If you have a haynes manual it is page 1-17. If don't have a book, i would get one.

          Got it! Thanks! Was idrlin' a little low,about 500rpms . Got it at 650 now.
          If it don't fit, use a bigger hammer!

            The idel adj. screw was on the right side of my TB. Dashpot on left. I found the entry in the Haynes man. Thats why I couldn't find it on car. Thanks again for the help.:happy3:

              Yeah guys, what about shutting the computer off before doing this adjustment!?
              Lotta books, no real readers though huh...
              In the Haynes manual that would be: Chapter 1, page 17, section 15, statement 5, and picture 15.5a
              "PRECISION", it's not just for winners.

                There must be different versions of the Haynes manual. In mine, Page 1-17, pic 15.5a shows a test connector terminal for Festivas. On page 1-18, pic 15.6b shows an Aspire motor with the location of the idle speed screw.
