  • Air conditioner belt

This maybe a stupid question but since I don't use the air conditioner, is there any problem that might result from cutting the belt to the compressor?

Nah you can cut it and be ok. Wont cause any problems. Some people want AC setups. You might be able to yank the whole system and sell it.

Why cut the belt? Just loosen the one bolt on the top of the idle tensioner pulley and you can take the belt off and sell it!

Doesn't it get hot enough in SC to use the A/C? Or is it just not working and you don't want to go to the expense of fixing it?

If you're not gonna use it, then you can pull stuff off to get better access to what you are working on.

Take care to take the belt off and stick it in the trunk, if you break one on the way home, you can use it as a spare to get home, it's the same belt but with a different pitch.
