I'm using Aspire tie rod ends on mine. I've heard that escort ends also fit but I don't know if it's GT ends or LX ends or if there's a difference in them. I haven't investigated those.

Ball joints, tie rods, as far as I know any of the ones with a bump/bubble where the grease fitting should go, can be drilled and fitted with a grease zert. The ones without the bump/bubble when I've tried retro fitting seem to not work due to internal clearance issues.

Thanks for the help guys. I guess I will stick to the aspire tie rods. I can always change them out later. I'm hoping I can do this swap this weekend. My festy has been apart for almost a year now.

I've used '91 to '95 Ford Escort tie rod ends with good results. Cheaper than Aspire ends, and yes, some have the grease fittings. Go to Rockauto and look up parts numbers to see if there are any differences between GT and regular Escorts. I don't think there are any differences, and the newer Escorts and ZX/2s may have the same part number as well. Just check to make sure.

Karl is correct. At least at AZ and advance auto both the ELX and EGT tie rod ends will work, and all the ones I've gotten from them are greasable. Add that to typically "in-stock" factor and the pricing (about $20 cheaper than Aspire last time I checked) its a win-win-win
