  • radiator hose

First off, iv'e been searching for a similar thread so as not to repeat questions over and over. Didn't quite find the answer ( alot to sift through) ok after driving a good 20min. checked upper rad. hose, warm not hot, heater core hoses same, bottom hose cool. Temp gauge barely moves, heat good (not great but good) pulled single wire by t-stat, fan came on (have never heard it come on in 3mo. of driving.) T-stat stuck open ? Thanks for any help.

Festivas take a dual stage thermostat that let's the little motors warm up search for that and see what you come up with
1992 white L, Bp, American racing 13's, stock trans.
1991 White L, BP/F5MR, protege header, full aspire swap with gr2's, seats, and sway bar, 15" konig's, short throw, escort console.
    1991 blue L, 5 speed.

yeah sounds like it's an open stat to me. you should see immediate coolent flow when the engine is cold via the pressure cap hole. if you see flow, you have an open stat.
