  • Horn relay missing??

New festy= :p Horn doesn't work, have not jumper wired it yet, went under the dash to see if I could see the relay, and this is what I see, 3 empty brackets plus one hanging wire/plug plus one relay labeled as key buzzer or something with an empty socket. pics below, whats missing?
1st pic is brackets and relay with empty socket
    2nd pic is hanging plug
    Thanks
Also I have some extra bits from the buy but I don't know what these missing bits look like, so if someone has pics under the dash that'd be great

The horn relay is found in Escorts and Mazdas of the same vintage. It's a blue box under the dash that has a four wire plug.

Sometimes the horn buttons get stuck. Even if the horn doesn't work, the relay will use power to hold the coil closed and will slowly kill the battery. They might have removed the relay to relieve this problem.

That's what I think happened on my car at least, haha. I ended up replacing the horn with one from a grand marquis and the relay from a Protege.

Woops, sorry about that, it's a 91 L, So I need a horn relay, I'm assuming the hanging plug goes to it, and what should plug into the other black box under there.

The plug goes to the key buzzer, which is the black box. Most people unplug them because it buzzes when the key is in the ignition and is annoying.

Alright, that'd be great if you could post a pic, couldn't get my fat head under to see what I was plugging in and I didn't want to break anything. Also, what do the wires that plug into the horn relay look like?
              Thanks

Okay, I believe the box in the pic with 4 wires that are mostly green is the horn relay, it clicks with horn button, It is grey and says GE-70 on the side. The hanging plug has 6 or 7 wires, lots of red. Does not plug into relay labeled key buzzer. Someone please put up a pic of a complete under dash relay setup, the manuals I have are black and white and tiny pics. Thanks so much
Also, learning stick is more of a handful than I thought...

Here is a pic. You aren't missing anything.

The gray relay with the four wires is the horn relay. And the plug that is hanging down with the seven wires does go to the key buzzer it only plugs in one way and that might be the reason you can't get it to plug in but I can assure you that it does go to the key buzzer. Hope that helps.

So what's the black one that says H300? And looks just like the ge-70?

Thanks a bunch, I think my buzzer relay is missing pins, oh darn, I'll get the horn unbolted this weekend to try and test it to see whether it's the relay or the horn. Is it just the one bolt holding the horn on?
