  • Stubborn Lugs- new wheels are on

I Don't know why, it has not been that long since I had my front wheels off and the rear, when I done brakes and rotors ,I used anti seize on the threads ,but when I was trying to put on my new wheels last night the rear came right off,
The front would not budge, Impact NO can do :x
1/2 " drive breaker with a 4 ' Snap on floor jack handle on the end of it YA, finally after I broke a 1/2 " S&K extension in half
When I first put my other wheels on ,when taking the steel wheels off I had remember needing to use a sledge .
I don't understand why they are so hard , must be all the excessive torque being applied all the time to the drive wheels  pics later today

don't use anti-sieze. Its not designed for high temp applications. Yes, your front hubs are high-temp, due to brake heat. Heat cycling causes anti-sieze to gum-up, actually bonding the bolt to the thread, like loctite. just use engine oil on the bolts next time you install them.

        lugs

because of front end alignment problems i have to change one tire every 2 months and i do not have any problems taking it off. i just use some oil or grease on the threads
