  • ignition switch wiring

I cant find an ignition switch, so I will make my own, but I need to know what each wire does or needs:

    Small wires:
    Red/black
    black
    red/yellow
    green

    Large wires:
    White/red
    black/red
    black/yellow
    black/white
    blue

I am working on this one to get it to a family member who really needs a car to get her to work. Any help would be appreciated.

There are wiring diagrams in the Haynes manual which should help.

Just in case someone else searches and finds this post....

Pin out of 93 and before
(This is only for the LARGE wires)

Smaller Male 2 wire plug (switch side)
      1 Black/White = Ignition
      2 Blue/Black = Battery

Larger Female 2 wire plug (switch side)
      3 Black/Yellow = Fuse box
      4 White/Red = Acc

      Single wire plug
      5 Black/Red = Starter

Two toggle switches and a starter button sounds more fun! Then just listen for "Gentlemen start your engines!" and push the button.

I dont need the key or switch portion, just the electrical plug that is held onto the back of it with one small screw. It should have 5 big wires and 4 small wires on it. If that is what you have, I would gladly pay $25 for it.
