B6 Exhaust Question

Doing a 1988 323 b6 swap into a 92 GL.
Go to do the exhaust on it and i have a problem.
Using the stock exhaust manifold and header pipe
when i bolt it all up the header pipe hit the passenger
side axle. any info please how to fix this please thanks

Until you get a welder to work on it you can use the festiva exhaust on the b6 cylinder head, the early 1988 b6 is the same design

I ended up biting the bullet and buying this one for $125 and then modified it to fit.

ok thanks frestiva now i know what i need to do.
will used the b3 till it goes in for the exhaust stystem

If you will be buying a 323 downpipe like Marcus just showed, price around! I paid way too much for my later model B6 downpipe at Autozone. If I had looked at Rockauto I could have saved around $40, even after shipping. I don't know if that holds true for the early downpipes like you will need, but shop around and be sure!

FYI there were at least three different later model B6/323 downpipes from at least two different companies and I think one was stainless steel.

I installed a spacer to position the downpipe so the stock exhaust pipe clamp could bolt on just below the bottom of the oil pan. I will be removing it as soon as I pick up my B6 headers from Lewiston.
