    Can a guy change the front crank case seal from the outside. Just by removing the pulley. Need feedback. Thank you steve winterset Ia

    I just changed mine this weekend, I did it in about 1 hour. just by removing the plastic timing cover and the timimg gear.

      It would be easier to drive into place with the engine out of the car, but it's doable regarldess.

            A caution, if you have to remove the oil pan when doing this (or any other work on your Festiva), be careful when your replace it and do not over tighten the bolts. The first time I did this, I over tightened and crushed the gasket. Had to remove and replace with a new gasket.
