  • AC compressor wire removal question

This may be hard to explain w/o a picture, but i'll attempt it. Searching didn't yield results.....

My A/C isn't working, and upon inspection of the wires to the compressor (one appears to be a ground, the other is power) the power wire was just barely attached to where it goes into the plastic 1" wide piece. Upon moving it with my hand, this wire broke off. I can't seem to remove the plastic piece that is attached to the clutch.... can this piece even be removed so i can re-attach my power wire?? I tried pulling on it with a needle nose, but don't want to get to aggressive and break that other piece off....

last resort will be to solder....

My first instinct is to solder. No better option imho

Ya now it all fits, i don't thing there is much hope but heck give it a try your not going to loose anything, just try and keep your temp as low as possible but still be able to do the job. let us know how it turns out.
