  • Wire color help needed

I have a protege manual, not a festiva unfortunately. Since I'm using all of the festiva harness, and e-trans this applies to general repair. I need to know what posts on the starter solenoid go to what, and what color these three wires go to:

oil pressure sender wire in back of block, I pulled it off and its missing LOL, is it on the same loom with alternator power?
    Alternator skinny wire color?
Skinny wire for the starter solenoid color?

Its dark and i wasn't able to get pics of where i was at.

I'm a day or so from cranking the engine and do not know which terminals get power so this will be gobs of help.

there will be 2 skinny alt wires (one is white/black not sure on the other) and the starter solenoid wire should be black (or black/red).
    Trees aren't kind to me...

    currently: 2 88Ls (Scrappy and Jersey), 88LX, 90L(Pepe), 91L, 91GL (Skippy) 93 GL Sport (the Mighty Favakk), 94 (Bruce) & 95 Aspire SEs, 97 Aspire (The Joker),
94 Justy 4WD, 87 Fiero GT, plus 2 parts cars. That's my fleet.

i thought that was the right one (black/red) because its too thick to be a sender wire. Not too big of a deal because I'm going to use an aftermarket gauge for oil temp and pressure, but if i could keep everything the way its supposed to be no guess work at a later date if i do another swap.

Still not sure on the solenoid. I cleaned it up pretty when i took it off so i cant tell if there was a eye on one of the posts and not the other. Obvious the huge copper one goes on there, but unsure on the rest. I also have extra eyes on the same loom, i assume its another ground onto the transmission?

I'm working on an 89 at the moment and I have my laptop out here in the shop (thanks for the wireless neighbors )

Here's the wire colors from the 89:

ALT plug - 1 black with red stripe and 1 black with white stripe
ALT ring terminal - large solid white wire
Oil sending unit - small yellow wire with red stripe
Solenoid plug - large black wire with red stripe
Solenoid ring terminal - large solid black wire
If a hammer doesn't fix it you have an electrical problem

So i got it right. somehow the oil pressure wire is lost. No matter the light wont come on unless its on there or grounding itself somehow. Now i have to rig up some pipe so i can drive it to a shop next week. Probably the last you will hear of me whining about the car not running, next will be whining about how it needs boost
