Throttle body shaft broken? Are festiva shafts the same as the 16v?

I was at the yard to get a TPS for my b8-me. After finally finding another 5 speed i noticed to remove it from the TB that it rides on a 2" shaft pointing at the firewall. Mine doesn't have this? Was it broken off? I decided to try and remove the shaft from this JY car and could not get it to come out. Do I need another complete throttle body?
