  • Rad Fan Switch

    Hi all,

    Another newb question here.

My Rad fan isn't kicking on, however the fan works when connected directly to the battery, so i know it works.

I believe if i disconnect the heat sensor or switch the fan will be on constantly? Or is it just going to be on ALWAYS when the car is running?

Does anyone have a photo or clear directions as to where I can find it to disconnect it?

    Thanks yall.

Got the same problem myself! Just posted a thread about it earlier today. I'll be keeping an eye on this thread as well. Good luck!

If you're looking at the engine from the front of the car, find the radiator.

Follow the large upper tube of the radiator to where it meets with the side of the engine's head.

Where it meets is called the 'thermostat housing'. On it, there is a single wire that plugs into a switch. The switch is screwed into the thermostat housing.

If you unplug it, the fan will run only when the key is on.
