headliner repair tape

Does anyone know of a repair tape for tears and holes in the vinyl headliner?
I used to use duct tape but what they sell now doesn't stick to the vinyl.
I can't find genuine 3M duct tape. What I see instead is Duck tape from two other co's.
The old patches dried out. I peeled them off and cleaned the headliner with
detergent followed by rubbing alcohol.

Gorilla tape wins, I use it to fix the vinyl coated sponge dodge balls the kids use in the gym at work.
