  • Proper fuel line connection

I just finished my engine swap but I do not remember the correct placement of the fuel lines. I had marked them with a paint marker, but fuel ended up leaking out of one of the lines and caused it to disappear. Im guessing that the sending line is the one that comes out of the black canister that I assume is the fuel filter.

Yes, The line coming from the fuel filter is the one coming from the tank

The other one is the return line

If no one from the future stops you from doing it, how bad of a decision can it really be?

correct. And that one is connected to the portion of the rail that does NOT have the regulator. The return line gets connected to the regulator.
