Need oring for 88 festiva distributor what size is it and where can I get it. And what is the box for on the side of the air filter looks like somekind of reed assembly and one side is all carboned up

All the major parts stores carry the o-ring. I can't remember the Fel-Pro part number but it's around $1. Autozone calls it the "distributor mounting gasket" if they try to look up the o-ring and draw a blank.
