  • Steering overhaul

So my steering components are in need of replacing. I've been told my tie-rod ends are particularly trashed, and I have tons of play in the steering wheel. The BP really drives the car wherever it wants at wot. I've never touched anything to do with steering on any car. Should I replace everything since I'm doing the work anyway? FMS has for sale a full kit here that seems fairly priced.
    BP, Aspire brakes, stock trans.

That's a good price for all that stuff. I paid $40 each for LCAs. I usually only replace what's broke, but it would be good to have all the other parts at hand.

The set I bought from FMS lasted about 10 months. The rack boots didn't last even that. I would recommend something like Moog.

The FMS kit is garbage. The ball joint and outer tie rod rubbers were gone within a year. Perhaps some sort of protective spray could have helped them last longer but I doubt it. Theyre just cheap parts...like service grade. Moog parts are vastly superior, but at a premium.

Ironically my rack boots are still good after all this time, I think its been close to 3 years.
